A project designed by Claremont Business Environments has been announced as the winner of a major award by the British Council for Offices (BCO). The AstraZeneca Parklands Development won the award for the Northern Region at the BCO’s annual dinner on 7 October at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.
The Claremont team, headed by Joanna York and working in collaboration with a number of partners including AstraZeneca’s in-house facilities department and architects Lovelock Mitchell and Partners, provided the interior design and workplace planning services on the project.
The Parklands site is the setting for AstraZeneca’s new research and development building and home to some 750 AstraZeneca staff. The company used the move from its previous offices as the catalyst for a major cultural shift away from cellular working to one that embraced openness and collaborative work.
