Buhrmann’s Koffrie points finger of blame at USOP staff
Frans Koffrie, chairman of Buhrmann, has blamed some USOP employees who refused to sign non-compete contracts that left them open to start competitive businesses for undermining sales at the troubled US-based company. The purchase price of the company was dropped from $250 million to £175 million to reflect its weaker trading performance. The deal was finalised this week at a purchase price of $172 million.
