Officepoint, part of the XPD group, is launching a group-wide fund raising effort to raise money for one nominated charity – Cancer Research. Director of merchandising Steve Robinson says the group will be holding a series of fund raising efforts, both at individual members’ offices and collectively as a group, to raise as much cash as possible.
Cancer Research was selected by members after a mass mail out and there could be a second organisation nominated at some point in the future. Robinson says: “We have regular regional forums for our members and the feedback that we were getting was that they wanted to put something back into the community. Many of them already do fund-raising for various organisations so we thought we would centralise the effort.”
The charity drive will include a charity auction to be held at the group’s annual conference at Whittlebury Hall on 11-12 October 2003.
