Panasonic UK has appointed Cyril Wood to head up its Consumer Products and Business Systems Companies. Previously he was managing director of the Panasonic Consumer Company and the company says his extended responsibilities recognise the continuing convergence of both products and markets. Bob Tate will continue in his role as head of Panasonic Business Systems Division.
In a separate move, Cyril Wood has been selected as a Global Senior Executive within the Matsushita Electric Industrial Company. He joins a small number of GSEs located in other parts of the globe and is the only non-Japanese to be promoted to this position this year.
