BakBone Software, provider of data recovery software, has been selected by Yahoo! Inc to provide its NetVault software as a global back-up and recovery solution for Yahoo!’s production environment in North America and the Pacific Rim. BakBone's NetVault will manage Yahoo!'s network-attached storage (NAS) systems, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows servers used to control its information infrastructure. BakBone designed a solution with Yahoo!'s mixed server environment in mind.
