Samsung's global rankings are said to show that brand equity is still growing fast and is now valued at $14.96 billion, up 19 per cent on last year’s figure. It is now said to be the 20th biggest brand on the planet.
Ali Zartash-Lloyd, sales and marketing director at Samsung Business Communications in the UK, says the news gives resellers more confidence and a stronger offering to the market.
“As digital convergence is in its infancy and poised to grow rapidly, we are confident that our unbeatably strong brand name in this sector will stand us in good stead for becoming a world leader there too. Although the market is very competitive, we have the support of our parent company Samsung Electronics Corporation and its powerful R&D and brand promotion activities."
