Business as usual at FLS and National Fax Holdings
Following news that FLS and National Fax Holdings are to merge [see channelinfo.net 16-Dec-2003], the companies say it is business as usual for existing customers. In the short term FLS and NFS will continue to operate under different banners as part of the Uniter Group, while IT infrastructures and business processes are aligned.
FLS’ Billericay-based call centre will be expanded to meet the increase in business and the company says there will be no job losses as a result of the merger, instead it will be actively recruiting. Carlo Jawed, recently appointed MD at National Fax Holdings, will take on the role of managing director of the Uniter Group
The combined operation will be ‘optimising engineering operations to deliver industry-leading levels of technical support to corporate clients, manufacturers and the reseller channel’. It will have over 100 engineers supporting over 500,000 printers, faxes, copiers, scanners, multifunctional and other office products nationwide and spare parts stockholding in excess of £1 million.
Carlo Jawed says the group’s strategy will include key acquisitions over the coming months.
