altodigital.com, the provider of business-to-business Internet services set up by altodigital Limited, has been confirmed as one of the victims of the dot com crash.
Managing director David Shilingis says the business has been rolled into altohiway, a co-founder of the Internet Service Providers Association and the part of the business that offers a range of Internet technologies from installation and training to ongoing support and maintenance. A web site for altooffice is still up an running.
The Alto Business Group, which was formed out of a series of acquisitions of copier companies, was relaunched as altodigital and altodigital.com in April of last year to take advantage of the potential Internet explosion, but the timing was wrong. With the targeted £90 million turnover revised to £50 million the company was still planning to go public when the technology markets crashed.
