Georgia-Pacific ups stake in Color-Box joint venture
Georgia-Pacific has agreed to purchase an additional 27% interest in Color-Box from Chesapeake for $35 million. Color-Box is a joint venture between the two companies which designs and manufactures corrugated graphic packaging.
The transaction is expected to close in July and as part of the agreement G-P has the option of buying Chesapeake’s remaining 19% interest for $25 milion in 2002.
