BT unveiled its growth plans for its Indirect Channel at a Partners’ Experience channel conference held yesterday in Manchester. It announced 16.7% growth and revenues of £670 million in 2002/2003, and projected further growth of 13.5% to £759 million in the next year based on its new strategic plans.
BTIC director Mark Hollister outlined a roadmap to voice, ICT, broadband and mobility success and told partners that BT’s focus will be on building and equipping a channel that can support its drive in these key technology areas, using both its independent partners and collaborative programmes with BT’s direct sales.
He commented: "We continue to defend vigorously our core revenues but we are not standing still. We intend, not only to grow our share of the voice market, but also to capitalise on changes in the technology industry to grow market share in the ICT, Broadband and Mobility arenas. Building on our existing market presence, we will continue growth across the four market areas, in order to become one of the UK's leading technology companies."
BTIC also has plans for the recruitment of more specialist partners to enable the business to grow in specific vertical markets, or extend its reach geographically.
