Systems house Interactive Products has confirmed that it has received several unsolicited offers from different players in the market.
The IP Consortium meeting last week (see channelinfo.net 5/2/2001), attended by dealers, dealer groups and wholesalers, is said to have been successful and the group hopes to proceed with discussions. ECI2, the US company behind Officeteam’s Connektonline, is also believed to have shown a strong interest in the company.
While refusing to comment on particular offers, Ron Wotherspoon at IP says the company will consider proposals that will help to protect its commitments to its customers. He added that the company has not been put on the market.
The company’s Progress system is used by names such as OyezStraker, Alpha Office, Impact, Langstane Press and Wiles Group.
