Electronics for Imaging (EFI), leading supplier of hardware and software imaging solutions for networked printers and copiers, has recorded a decrease in revenues for the second quarter but says strong demand for colour products has helped maintain its profit outlook.
The company recorded revenues of $144 million for the second quarter ending 30 June 2001, compared to $152 million for the same period last year. Pro forma net income, excluding the affect of goodwill amortisation charges, was $14 million.
EFI CEO Guy Gecht comments: “The strong demand for our colour products helped us maintain our momentum in the second quarter despite the tough economic climate. While the economic weakness is spreading to Europe, making future revenue growth more difficult, our robust colour business allows us to reaffirm our profit outlook for the second half of the year.”
