UK dealer group Officeteam recently held its 11th annual conference in Marbella, which was attended by 50 members staff and speakers. Presentations were made by Richard Thompson, Jeff Whiteway, Derek Pitt, Hugh Sear, Ernest Parbury, Ron Wotherspoon of Interactive Products and Graham Cundwick of Office Depot. In addition Jim Preston, CEO of BPGI, joined Nick Oates and Neil Basham of Europa in a combined presentation to drive home to members the importance of Europa and their membership of BPGI.
Hugh Sear congratulated members on their strong market performance. While the market is generally down, Officeteam dealers are showing a sales growth of 12.8%, their gross profits are up by 1.1% to 35.9% and operating profits rose by 0.6% on last year to 4.7%. These results do not include OyezStraker’s results.
Because of this strong performance this year three awards were presented at the conference. Adam Noble and the Irongate Group won the award for Business Growth, Steve Grundy and Todds of Lincoln won the award for Business Performance and the overall Dealer of the Year was David Hemley and Lianda Business Services. This is the second time Lianda has won the award, having scored highly in each of the criteria categories. The OSOS Golden Brick was won by Steve Bradley of Kwikprint and this was presented by Ernest Parbury.
