Toshiba Tec EIS (Electronic Imaging Systems) has confirmed the acquisition of London-based WH Systems' copier business rumoured earlier this week. The business is said to turn over £2 million and brings with it 21 staff and an installed base of 900 machines. It will trade as EIS.
Toshiba's Mark Garius says the business is an excellent fit. "They have a number of very large blue chip clients that fit well with our corporate strategy. WH wanted to divest themselves of what was a non-core business and we were able to offer their staff a future with a company that is committed to being a leading player in the digital document solutions marketplace."
Toshiba EIS made two other dealer acquisitions last year, Docklands-based dealer Corporate Office Automation and Phoenix in Wales, Garius says the indirect business is still growing and they are recruiting new dealers.
