Office solutions provider, The Danwood Group, has chosen the Swanwick Business Centre in Southampton as the location for its growth into the Southern region.
With its headquarters in Lincoln, The Danwood Group Ltd is one of the largest independent suppliers of total office solutions in the UK and Ireland.
The Danwood Group says it has leased a modern, 1,906 sq ft two-storey office building at the Swanwick Business Centre where it is to base its new South Coast branch. The premises encompass a dedicated customer showroom, boardroom and sales office.
Danwood plan to use their Southampton branch as a base to grow new business in the area. Richard Noble, Regional Sales Director for the Midlands and South West division comments, “This is the first stage of our initial growth plan in the South West region. We chose to settle at Swanwick as it offers fantastic opportunities in terms of accessibility, infrastructure, and a talented workforce pool. With Danwood set to increase our experienced sales force and position ourselves as a major player in the print and technology market in the South, Southampton was the ideal choice for us.”
The company says that the opening of the Southampton branch is just the latest development in Danwood's growth and acquisition plan. In April 2005 Danwood purchased Paragon systems based in Livingston giving the group effective coverage across Scotland with plans to expand the operation by opening branches in Aberdeen and East Kilbride. In May 2005 the opening of the Huntingdon and Bromsgrove offices also saw Danwood’s expansion into the East and Midlands.
