Distributor Computer 2000 has reported a massive surge in sales of digital devices such as web-cameras, PDAs, personal music players and audio-visual devices, as more business users start to take the technology they use at home to work.
Much of the growth is being fuelled by business users, says general manager of the PC and Peripherals business unit, David Watts. "Our sales of digital and audio-visual devices such Apple iPODs, high-quality speakers, web-cameras are 60 per cent up on this time last year and we’re finding that it is not only the consumer, but also the business people that are buying these products."
