M-real UK has been named ‘Supplier of the Year’ by Mayor of London Ken Livingstone at the Green Procurement Code Awards, hosted by London Remade.
It was recognised as ‘Supplier of the Year’ thanks to Evolve, its 100% recycled office paper.
The Evolve production process diverts 180,000 tonnes of waste from landfill every year. Ken Livingstone says; “The combined purchasing power of London based companies has huge potential in positively tackling the capital’s waste problem – the award winners are leading the way in green purchasing.”
The Mayor’s Green Procurement Code was launched by the Mayor in June 2001 to assist London based organisations identify opportunities to recycle waste and buy products manufactured from recycled materials.
