Office Depot launches web sites in Ireland and France
Office Depot has introduced new web sites for its contract customers in Ireland and France at http://bsdnet.officedepot.ie and http://bsdnet.officedepot.fr. These are the company's third and fourth International contract web sites, following the launch of its first site in the UK in 2001 and a site in The Netherlands in 2002.
The company’s Irish operations started in 1994 and it has built up a strong direct mail business under the Viking brand. In March 2001, it expanded its European Business Services Division into Ireland. In France the company has had a strong Viking business for ten years and in October 2001 launched its European BSD business into the French market.
It says the new contract web sites offer Irish and French customers the convenience of placing orders via a private site tailored for medium to large sized customers. They have access to contract-specific information, including customised offers and product selection.
Office Depot’s wholly owned European operation is in eleven countries and its European BSD is present in five of those, including the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, France and most recently Italy.
